Very rare award certificate for the Clasp of the Iron Cross Second Class.
The document for the EK2 Clasp comes with other documents belonged to the recipient of this award. Hauptmann Dr. Vogel receive the Clasp at the Adolf Hitler Headquarter on July 1, 1940 as reported on the document and the certificate is signed by Hermann von Witzleben as Chief of the General Staff of the 2. Army.
Along with the EK2 Clasp document come 2 sheets of paper with extract from Professor Vogel's personnel file in which is recorded his military career and his awards. Professor Vogel took part at the First World War where he was awarded with some awards and with the Iron Cross Second and First Class; after the war he entered the Freikorps and took part in the Feldernhalle in Munich on 9.11.23 as a member of the Werdenfels Battalion and was arrested at Odeonsplatz. In 1934 he joined the SA and in 1935 he became member of the NSDAP with the NSDAP number 3662483. he was also memeber of several NSDAP associated organizations. He survived the war.
This is a rare document and it is even more rare if considering Professor Vogel took part at the Munich Putsch in 1923. An incredibly historical document.
