Absolutely rare and in extremely fine condition, Zollgrenzschutz, (ie. Customs) Officer Bergmütze (or mountain cap), with a single mettallic front closure button.
The cap is made in green Trikot, and fully lined in yellow quilted rayon. Lining still shows the size marking made in black ink "56½". On the front side the brown-coloured- and leather-based sweat-band is still complete, soft and has no damages.
The top of the cap has a aluminium piping indicating the cap was used by Officers only.
The flat-wire, T-shaped, Zollgrenschutz insigna is factory machine sewn to the front of the cap.
This is a really rare Third Reich hat to find on market, it only seldom appears, especially in a such great condition. A wonderful addition for every collection.
