Mint SS chevron for the "old compaigners" (Alte Kämpfer) of the SS. This specimen is the black type, standard pattern with the original SS-RZM tag still pefectly attached on it.
This chevron was authorized for wear by all members of the SS who had joined the SS, NSDAP, or any one of the other party-affiliated organisations prior to 30 january 1933.
Additionally, it was authorized for wear by members of the Austrian SS, or who had been a member of the Austrian nazi party or one of the designated pro-nazi Austrian organisations prior to 12 february 1938.
