"METZ 1944" CUFFTITLE

€3,795.00

Exceptionally rare and desirable "Metz 1944" cufftitle, the most rare campaign-award cufftitles of the Third Reich.

This specimen is constructed of black wool, with white cotton/rayon embroidered latin letters and with the edges still sewn togheter; the top and bottom edges are bordered by machine stitched white Russian braiding. Cufftitle was tunic removed and remains in a great condition.

This cuff title was introduced on October 24, 1944. It was worn by all participants of the Battle of Metz (belonging to the "Kampfgruppe von Siegroth"), as well as by all members of the Infantry Officer Candidates School VI in Meseritz, but only as long as they were assigned to the school. A piece of history with great value that only few collectors can be proud to own.
