Here one of the most majestic desk Eagles of the Third Reich era.
This specimen is made with a silver plated Heer eagle attached to a rectangular stem with an inscription and a marble base with the fastening bolt underneath. On the back side the left wing is marked with the RZM logo and the maker number M3/100. Free of damage and only showing age wear. Condition is very fine, with 95% of the original silver wash and, most important, it is an untouched, completely original, piece. The total height is 22,5 cm tall.
Desk eagles were often given as prizes for competitions held at the rallies, and also as presentations to members of the political elite or for specific tasks performed within a unit. The one showed here has an inscription on the stem that says: "Fw. Bock zum Andenken Uffz. Korps 3/I.R. 36" (Feldwebel Bock - In memory of Officers Corp of the 3/I.R. 36) – Infanterie Regiment 36 was and Infantry Regiment of the 36th Infantry Division.
