Very rare book plate taken from the Reich Chancellery (Reichskanzlei) in Berlin. The plate is made in pressed cardboard with gilted finish on the obverse. It was removed from a book.
It shows a rectangular oak leaves motif, in the centre is an eagle with swaz and, under it, the writing "Bücherei der Reichskanzlei" (Library of the Reich Chancellery).
Plate is used but remains in excellent condition. A rare historical piece to find on market.
