Very rare SD sleeve diamond for officer.
This diamond was used by SS members who were assigned to the SS-Hauptamt or to the Sicherheitsdienst (SD).
The badge was worn on the lower left sleeve above the sleeveband.
This specimen, made of hand embroidered bullion on a black wool base and piped in twisted aluminium silver piping cord, is in almost perfect condition, unissued. The letter "D" is made in 2 parts, a characteristic that differs this patten from the one with the "D" made in one part.
