Nice pair of SS Runes for Polizei, made of bullion embroidery on a polizei green trikot wool base. Back side still has its original black paper.
The runic pocket patch was for those who were members of the SS. These pocket patches can be found with gray-green, police-green and black (for panzer) wool backing. Not all policemen were members of the SS, even though all police formations came under Himmler. These pocket patches were to show actually membership in the SS.
