A worn in very nice conditions 2nd type Blood Order, with its original ribbon belonged to SS-Sturmbannführer Dr. Roland Timmel.
Medal has the number 2750 and it match with the number present on Timmel documents. It is rare to see a second type blood order with known recipient. And it is also more rare to see a second type belonged to a SS man!
Along with the medal there is a folder of 42 pages with full documentation, coming from the SS personal files, belonged to Dr. Roland Timmel, SS nr. 310 397.
Timmel was an active SS officer in Waffen-SS and from 1941 to 1942 he served in the 2nd W-SS division "Das Reich".
An amazing Blutorden with a lot of character. A real gem, and a real piece of history.
