MEDICAL PERSONNEL M40 FIELD TUNIC
Great example of a real worn M40 field/grey tunic, but still in nice patinated condition.
This M40 jacket is made in wool/cotton, and was worn by a Feldwebel (NCO) of the Medical Personnel. Tunic is impressive and it is untouched.
Field-grey, wool/cottonblend construction field blouse features a vertical, five button front closure with a single metal hook and eye positioned at the neckline. The field blouse has four, pleated, front pockets with pointed flaps. Collar tabs are machine stitched to the tunic, Medical personnel round patch and bullion chest eagle are hand sewn. Bullion chest eagle was often used by medical NCOs instead the normal bevo ones. Tunic has a nice pair of NCO shoulder boards with blue wool piping and a single gilted pip.
Interior of the tunic is complete and cotton lining is also marked with maker and measurements on the right chest. An Iron Cross second class ribbon is hand sewn on the second button hole.
Tunic shows very nice period wear and use and has the expected wonderful patina.
A scarce, untouched uniform, perfect for display!
