DEUTSCHE JÄGERSCHAFT UNIFORM GROUPING
Nice set of a memeber of the Deutsche Jägerschaft (German Hunting Society) that was created in 1934 and it was led by Hermann Göring, as Reichsjägermeister, and was governed by the Führerprinciple.
The set includes a private tailored tunic in wonderful condition, fully lined in green rayon, complete with all the insigna (the collar tabs are post war attached and don't match the rank of the shoulder boards), including the sleeve patch of the "D J", furthermore on the left breast pocket there are a ribbon clasp and a WWI wound badge in black.
The visor cap is externally in almost perfect condition, inside the lining is fully present. The sweatband is intact and not dry, but the front side, where is the leather visor, is missing the sewing, so at some point, the sweatband and the visor were fixed by someone that used a thikck black thread to keep them in place.
Visor cap is complete of chinstrap and insigna.
The group also has a very nice brocade belt complete with the aluminium belt buckle.
The "Forstverein" (or Forestry) during the Third Reich era used the same uniforms of the "Jägerschaft" (German Hunting Society); the only difference was the Jägerschaft had the "D J" cloth arm patch on the left slelve.
A not common set at a very affordable price, perfect for display purposes.
