Great field blouse (Schutzpolizei Feldbluse) constructed of mottled green and tan-flecked cotton-blended fabric, featuring a vertical row of six matte-grey pebbled buttons meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes, with a front closure at the neck composed of two metal hooks and clasps, the front of the tunic presents two pleated patch breast pockets and two non-pleated patch hip pockets, all with scalloped button-down flaps, the fold down collar presents two EM/NCO collar tabs, each constructed of matte-aluminum thread in the army pattern Litzen with three bars in green branch colours, sewn directly on to the collar, each shoulder presents slip-on shoulder boards, each displaying an inner soutache braid constructed of aluminum wire with evenly spaced brown Vs and dark brown cord in artificial silk, interwoven into eight bends, with the bend at the rounded end forming a buttonhole opening, the surrounding soutache in aluminum braid with brown V threads, underlaid with green fabric, for the rank of Meister, the upper left arm bears a factory sewn correct Schutzpolizei insignia in the form of a green Police-style eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika.
The interior presents partially lined with a brown ribbed cotton fabric, stamped in black ink with sizing and city informations, and the brown "PO 1942" stamp that stands for "Polizei" and year of production "1942".
A scarce tunic to find and in extremely fine condition.
